Youngblood

Youngblood is a great boutique and gallery in the Highlands district of Atlanta owned by Maggie White and Kelly Teasley. Since 1997 they have been promoting talented, unknown artists by holding exhibitions, and selling their innovative art. They have introduced many up and coming artists to an eager public, and their work is now sought after and collected around the country. They have been based at 636 N. Highland Avenue, Atlanta since May 2008, a store that is a warm, large, open space which has now become home to all the amazing art they have for sale. There is a large gallery at the rear of the store, and on the first Saturday of each month this space becomes home to another art opening. This month they have the "Beautifully Perfect Imperfections" of Faryn Davis and Linda Plaisted on display. Here are some photo's of the store and what they have to offer this month :

Owls are still such a big trend, these guys look so cute :

A much more animal friendly way of displaying heads on the wall !

These two heads are by Derek Weisberg, they look so deep in thought and contemplation :

Ruth Marks also has some great art in the store :

Youngblood also hold a crafts market called Kraftwork on the first Thursday of each month featuring handmade merchandise made by up and coming young artists and designers. Many thanks to Maggie, Kelly, and Jen for letting us feature their amazing store ! If you live in Atlanta, or are just visiting, take the time to go and see the great art on display at Youngblood !
